Cacklebean Eggs

My local social media heroes

I've been meaning to write a shoutout to my favourite local social media heroes for aaaages...

I'm not entirely sure what has stopped me doing it before now, time constraints, genuine laziness or maybe because I'm a touch jealous that these guys do such a good job on their own!

#1 Cacklebean Eggs

Cackleberry Farm is nestled at the bottom of a hill just outside Stow-on-the-Wold. Their rare breed flocks live in traditional chicken houses on 12 acres of land, with perches and are entirely free range. Their beautiful Instagram posts are the perfect mix of personal and business. I actually want to live on their farm.

#2 Gloucester Services

The first family run motorway services on the UK roads. There are no franchises or fast food on their forecourts. Instead, a Farmshop selling locally produced food, a Butchery featuring meat reared from their own farms and a Kitchen serving homemade dishes produced daily using local ingredients. Worth a drive up and down the M5 just for lunch!

#3 St Michael's Store

After a refit to the Post Office and the addition of a deli counter serving hot food, these guys took the internet by storm. Proper piss yourself laughing posts backed up by great food pics.

#4 Chippy Lido

An eco-friendly outdoor swimming pool with a third of an acre of lawns, with dappled shade from two majestic sycamore trees. My favourite place in the World AND I get to work there in the summer.

Apologies if I've missed anyone out!

(& apologies that they are pretty much all food based (obviously)).
